ENTRY CRITERIA

All award entries must be completed online at www.motherandbabyawards.com by midnight Friday 10th May 2019.

To qualify for the early bird discount at a cost of £250 + VAT you must have entered by Thursday 18th April 2019 Entries after the 19th April will be a cost of £275 + VAT.

All products must be launched and available for consumers to purchase (this can be online only) before Friday 24th May 2019.

All products entered before the entry date closes will be tested by parents who have volunteered to be testers through the Mother&Baby website.

All categories will be expected to send ten products to testers, apart from the innovation category which will be expected to send in six products; and the following categories, who will be expected to send three samples:

  • Best Forward Facing Car Seat
  • Best Rear Facing Car Seat 
  • Best Pushchair
  • Best Travel System

For the Car Seat categories ONLY you are welcome to visit the tester personally and make sure the car seat they are testing is fitted correctly in their car. Please note, this is not a requirement - we are happy to ask testers to test car seats in stationary cars only.

Please note: We ask that you do not contact testers directly to ask for their feedback on your product or offer them any additional extras during the testing period. In past years testers have felt pressurised by some companies. We will be forced to disqualify companies who attempt to influence testers. You will be provided with feedback and reviews from the testers which will be sent via Mother&Baby if requested.

ENTRY RULES

You can enter your product for more than one award if you wish, but each entry needs to be on a separate form and incurs a separate entry fee. If you are unsure which category your product should be entered into, please email the Testing Co-ordinator, awardsproducts@bauermedia.co.uk 

You may submit any number of products for consideration including own label.

Products must be launched (available for UK consumers to purchase) before Friday 24th May 2019.

The judges reserve the right to re-allocate entries into relevant categories.

The judges reserve the right to cancel or merge categories if there are insufficient entries.

When writing the product name, please write it exactly as you would want it to be read out at the Awards and printed in the Best Buys Booklet, were you to win.

Please fill in all sections of the entry form.

You must attach online a digital high resolution JPEG image of your product to your entry form for your entry to be valid.

Incomplete entry forms will be disqualified.

All products will be tested. Products must reach the testers when specified by the Testing Co-ordinator. If they have not arrived by that date, or are in poor condition/ without instructions, your entry will be disqualified.

Do not send products with your entry. Please ensure you include any relevant documentation in the sample, including detailed instructions. We also suggest you include some SHORT PR that tell testers what to look for, why your product is different, why it is better than other products on the market and what is innovative about it. Please also note that you are not allowed to include anything that could be considered a bribe. Companies that do this will be disqualified.

If you wish testers to return your products, please make sure this is very clear to the testers (and Testing Co-Ordinator) from the outset. You will need to organise for the return at no expense or inconvenience to the testers. Mother&Baby will not take any responsibility for pursuing products to be returned.

The judges’ decision is final.

Please note: If your product has any issues with safety or is recalled between entering the awards and 26th November 2019 we have the right to remove your entry and your award submission will be non refundable.
